MLB.com reports that Bucs reliever Evan Meek will be the team's All-Star representative.
This doesn't come as much of a surprise. The list of Pirates who have been really, really good this year only includes Meek and Andrew McCutchen, and given that a Pirate has to go to the All-Star game, it's a lot easier to find a free spot for a reliever than an outfielder. Even so, Meek is deserving - he's been mowing hitters down all year with fantastic stuff.
