News about the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 8 injuries and updates on two players' conditions
Compared to some of the other NFL teams' injury reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 8 Injury Report is rather simple. Six players are listed as out, and that's the long and short of it. But that's not to say that the players on the injury report are not impactful and won't be missed.
The players listed as out for the game against the Patriots include LB James Harrison (eye), G Doug Legursky (toe), T Chris Hoke (neck), LB Jason Worilds (quadricep), WR Hines Ward (ankle) and LB James Farrior (calf). Both Hoke and Worilds were participants in practice this week, but apparently were unable to make enough progress to play.
Both Ward and Farrior were listed as questionable on the first injury report. In their places, WR Emmanuel Sanders and LB Stevenson Slyvester will both be getting their first career starts. Though Ward's blocking will be missed, the combination of backups Sanders and Antonio Brown might cause more matchup problems for the New England secondary.
