The Pittsburgh Penguins have a light week, and will play only the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have lost two of their last three games, but the last time out, they hung eight goals on the Buffalo Sabres, so maybe this stretch isn't at all indicative of how they've been playing. We might get a better idea of how things are going based on their next two games.
The first game they'll play this week will be on Tuesday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are one of the best teams in Hockey this year, with an impressive 21-8-4 record. They have a very efficient offense, scoring 3.2 goals per game, but the Penguins might be able to have some success against their defense, which gives up 2.9 goals per contest.
The next game the Penguins will play this week will be on the road in Winnipeg on Friday night against the Jets, who will be playing in the second night of a back-to-back. That game starts at 8:30.
We'll be covering all these games throughout the week on SB Nation Pittsburgh, but for more on all things Penguins hockey, head over to PensBurgh.
