Browns Vs. Steelers Score: Pittsburgh Wide Receivers Lead Impressive Opening Drive, Steelers Lead 7-3

Stay connected for news and updates

The Steelers didn’t begin their Thursday-night game against the Browns auspiciously, as Lawrence Timmons got beaten on a big pass play on the Browns’ opening drive. A few plays later, a run by Colt McCoy was initially ruled a touchdown, but it was called back on review, and the Steelers stopped the Browns and forced them to settle on a field goal.

The Steelers then scored quickly on their own opening drive. They started with a 22-yard pass to Mike Wallace, and then Ben Roethlisberger found Antonio Brown on a screen for another first down. A run by Wallace on an end-around produced another big game, and then Roethlisberger passed to Jerricho Cotchery for the touchdown. It was a huge drive for the Steelers’ excellent corps of wide receivers, and the Steelers offense looks like it’s in control. The Steelers lead by a score of 7-3.
