NCAA Women's Tournament Bracket Results: Penn State Falls To DePaul

Stay connected for news and updates

Penn State's women's basketball team was eliminated by DePaul Monday night, 75-73, as Keisha Hampton's two foul shots with five seconds remaining sealed the deal. Penn State ended its season with a 25-10 record.

In other NCAA women's tournament action, top seeds Tennessee and Stanford advanced, with Tennessee beating Marquette 79-70 and Stanford beating St. John's 75-49. Also, No. 2 Notre Dame beat No. 10 Temple 77-64 (being a No. 2 seed seems to be working out better for the Notre Dame women's team than it did for the men's team, I guess). No. 2 Duke beat No. 10 Marist, 71-66, and Duke will face DePaul in the next round.

No. 11 Gonzaga upset No. 3 UCLA, 89-75. No. 5 North Carolina beat No. 4 Kentucky, 86-74, and UNC will go on to face Stanford. And No. 4 Ohio State beat No. 5 Georgia Tech, 67-60, with the Buckeyes going on to face Tennessee.
