NHL Playoffs 2011, Lightning Vs. Penguins: Pens Look To Extend Lead In Game Two

Stay connected for news and updates

After a terrific performance in Game One of their first-round NHL playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins will attempt to build a two-game lead on Friday night.

The Penguins won 3-0 in their first game on Wednesday, thanks to brilliant goalkeeping by Marc-Andre Fleury and two quick third-period goals by Alex Kovalev and Arron Asham (plus an empty-netter by Chris Kunitz).

After whispers that the Bolts might change their lineup for Friday night's game, perhaps by playing seven defensemen, it appears likely that the lineup will remain the same, and defensemen Randy Jones and Marc-Andre Bergeron will sit out. Jones is ready to play, but Tampa Bay doesn't want to use him so soon in a playoff environment as he recovers from an ankle sprain, and Bergeron has a minor injury.

The game begins at 7:08 PM. Also on tap are Rangers vs. Capitals (7:30), Blackhawks vs. Canucks (10:00), and Predators vs. Canucks (10:30).
