The Recruit Scoop reports that 6-foot-8 power forward A.J. West has committed to Duquesne for the 2011-2012 school year.
↵After announcing his intentions to play for Duquesne he told The Recruit Scoop:
↵↵↵"Their style of play just fits me best with the run and gun. I feel it's the perfect level of competition and it is close to home."
↵
The Dukes were also heavily involved in a recruiting battle with Saint Bonaventure for Youssou N'Doye, a 6-foot-9 forward from Lee, Maine. After signing West however, it appears the Dukes have found their forward to replace recently departed forwards Damian Saunders and Joel Wright.

↵West will join guard P.J. Torres, swingman Daniel Herrera, and Kadeem Pantophlet as members of Duquesne's 2011 recruiting class.
