Pitt, Duquesne, Robert Morris Players to Take Part In Greentree Summer League

The Pittsburgh Basketball Pro Am Summer League is back again, with the first games tipping off on June 20 at the Greentree Sportsplex.

As in the past, players from Pitt, Duquesne, and Robert Morris will play, in addition to members of the Youngstown State Penguins and players from small Division II and III teams.

Games will played on June 20, 22, 27, 29, and July 6, 11, and 13 with sets of games being played at 7 PM, 8PM, and 9 PM.

The teams will then take part in playoffs that run July 18-20.

Rosters have not been announced yet, but will be  on the Pittsburgh Basketball Club website shortly before the league starts.

If you have not gone in past years, I highly recommend that fans get out to the Sportsplex to take in some games. It gives a great opportunity to see new recruits for the first time in 2011, in addition to established players. The relaxed atmosphere makes for some exciting, offensive basketball that is fun to watch. It's also a good time to meet players and get autographs and pictures.

I will be there most nights and will have reports on SB Nation Pittsburgh.
