Redskins vs. Steelers: Mike Wallace offers tepid praise of Washington's secondary

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace is anxious to ignite the team's down-field passing game this Sunday, and he doesn't appear too worried about the Washington Redskins secondary, either.

In a report by Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Thursday, Wallace spoke about his Week 8 opponents.

"They're OK. They're decent," Wallace said of the Redskins' secondary in the report. "DeAngelo (Hall) is a perennial Pro Bowler guy. ... I don't feel like they have tremendous athletes over there, but they're always in the right spots."

Washington ranks last in the league in pass yards allowed per game, giving up an average of 328.4 yards through the air per contest. Meanwhile, the Steelers' offense is sixth in the NFL in pass yards per game, throwing for an average of 282.2 yards a game.

"I think we can be one of the best offenses," Wallace said of the Steelers in the article, who are averaging 23.3 points per game this season. "But it's not time to say that anymore - we have to go out and prove it. The talking is done."
