Robert Morris basketball releases 2012-13 schedule

Colonials basketball is less than a month away.

The Robert Morris Colonials have released their 2012-2013 schedule. The men's basketball team will make its first appearance on Thursday, Nov. 1 in an exhibition game against St. Vincent.

Following another exhibition game against Rider on Nov. 9, the Colonials will start their regular season on Nov. 12 at the NIT Season Tip-Off in Pittsburgh. Click here for a full look at the NIT Season Tip-Off bracket. Robert Morris will open the tournament against Lehigh.

Their first home game will be on Dec 1, when the Colonials host Ohio.

Northeast Conference play will commence on Jan 3, 2013 against Central Connecticut State. From then, Robert Morris will only compete against conference opponents, leading up to the Northeast Conference Tournament in early March.

Last season Robert Morris finished with a 26-11 record. They fell to Long Island University-Brooklyn in the finals of the Northeast Conference Tournament, 90-73.
