Chiefs vs. Steelers 2012 reactions: Steelers win in 'one of their worst performances'

The Pittsburgh Steelers used a timely interception by linebacker Lawrence Timmons and a 23-yard game-winning field goal by kicker Shaun Suisham to edge the Kansas City Chiefs, 16-13, in overtime Monday night at Heinz Field.

The pair of big plays, which both came in the extra session, helped the Steelers (6-3) overcome an early 10-point deficit and the loss of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who injured his shoulder in the third quarter.

The win is being called one of the Steelers' worst performances of the season according the SB Nation blog Behind the Steel Curtain:

It was the Steelers' 15th straight home win on Monday Night Football, and had to be one of their worst performances, win or lose, during that stretch.

The win was overshadowed by Roethlisberger's injury, which forced backup Byron Leftwich into action. The result was positive for the Steelers, however, could have implications down the road.

Roethlisberger left the stadium, and will be evaluated as the week progresses. If it is a shoulder separation, as it appeared, it's highly unlikely he'll play against Baltimore in Week 11 - a game with massive playoff implications.

Next week, the Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens in a Sunday Night showdown (8:20 p.m. on NBC). The Steelers are currently on a four-game winning streak and are 4-0 at home.
