Penn State Vs. Wisconsin Recap: Badgers Jump Out To Big Lead, Hold Off PSU Comeback For 10-Point Win

The Penn State Nittany Lions' three-game winning streak at the Kohl Center came to an end on Sunday afternoon, as the Wisconsin Badgers jumped out to a big early lead and cruised to a 65-55 win. Wisconsin was on fire from behind the arc, hitting 11 of 22 attempts from three-point range. They led by as many as 20 points in the second half before a big 16-1 run by PSU made it a game over the final ten minutes. But Pat Chambers and the Nittany Lions could never get closer than six, and fell to 4-11 in the conference.

Yet again, Tim Frazier led PSU with 20 points on 9-of-20 from the floor. Frazier held up against the touted Wisconsin backcourt of Jordan Taylor and Josh Gasser. Jermaine Marshall was the only other PSU player in double figures, scoring 12 points in 31 minutes off the bench. While the Badgers were hitting from outside, the Nittany Lions were just 4-of -18 from downtown and could not hit the big three to pull them even in the second half.

Penn State now has the week off before hosting Northwestern at home next Saturday afternoon.
