Penguins Vs. Canadiens Score Update: Goalies Impress In Scoreless First Period In Montreal

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens are scoreless after twenty minutes at the Bell Centre in Quebec. It was a relatively clean and even first period, with no penalties and the Pens outshooting the Habs just 11-10. Both Marc-Andre Fleury and Carey Price fought off a couple scoring chances generated on each side, but neither offense applied consistent pressure in the zone.

The biggest news for Pens fans today has happened off the ice, as word came down that both Jordan Staal and Sidney Crosby are with the team in Montreal and skated with the club today. In other roster news, the recalled Jason Williams saw just three and a half minutes of ice time in the first, playing alongside Dustin Jeffrey and Matt Cooke.
