Sophomore guard T.J. McConnell announced on Tuesday that he will transfer to Arizona. The other school that McConnell was seriously considering transferring to was the University of Virginia, but he settled on playing for Arizona because of its style and its coaches.

The former Duquesne Dukes player averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 assists per game during the 2011-12 season. His best game of the season was a 28-point game against Saint Joseph's on January 4. McConnell shot 10-of-16 from the field that night, including five-of-six from three point range. After sitting out the 2012-13 seasons for the transfer, he will have two years of eligibility remaining at Arizona.
