Flyers Vs. Penguins Score Update: Philadelphia Cuts Into The Leader, Pittsburgh Still Leads 3-1

Stay connected for news and updates

The Pittsburgh Penguins jumped on the Philadelphia Flyers early in the first period, taking a 3-0 lead into the firs intermission. The Flyers didn't give up however and were able to pick up a goal early in the second period to cut into the Penguins lead. Danny Briere returned for the playoffs, coming back from a back injury sustained earlier in the month against the Penguins and picked up the goal assisted by Brayden Schenn.

Despite cutting into the Penguins lead, the Flyers are still being outshot by nearly a two-to-one margin in the game. Heading into the third period, the Penguins lead 3-1.
