In addition to their season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers will take part in at least five prime-time games this season.
Pittsburgh will also face the Bengals on Oct. 21 and the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 18 as part of NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Also of note: The Steelers play three games during a 14-day stretch in October.
They face their usual divisional rivals, as well as the AFC West, NFC East, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans this season.

Though the full schedule has not been made available yet, the date for another Pittsburgh Steelers game is known. In addition to their season opener against Peyton Manning and the Denver Brocos in the Mile High City, the Steelers will travel to the Meadowlands for a week nine matchup against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, according to a schedule obtained by the Newark Star-Ledger.
The time of the game against the defending Super Bowl Champions is unknown. Though it’s likely to be played at some during the afternoon — either in the 1:15 p.m. or 4:15 p.m. EST slot. Pittsburgh is facing the Giants, as well as the rest of the NFC East this season.

Well, it looks as if the NFL schedules might be leaking. According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Steelers will open the 2012 season against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Sunday night (Sept. 9). The game is a rematch of last season's Wild Card playoff game, where the Broncos won 29-23 in overtime following an 80-yard touchdown pass from Tim Tebow on the first play of the extended period.
The full schedules are not expected to be released until later today at 7 p.m. EST.
For the Steelers, this means that safety Ryan Clark will be unable to play in the opener because of health concerns. Clark suffers from a sickle-cell trait, which prevents him from playing at a high altitude. And Denver's Sports Authority Field at Mile High certainly classifies as high altitude.
