Saturday afternoon in State College, PA, new Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien will jog on to the Beaver Stadium field for the first time as head coach for the annual Blue-White Game. The game will be the first event to take place at the stadium since the funeral in January for legendary Penn State coach Joe Paterno.

O'Brien has slightly modified the structure of this year's spring game, the first to be played without Paterno since his 46-year tenure at the school ended last season amidst the Jerry Sandusky scandal. The entire team will not be divided into two squads for the game; rather the Blue-White Game will feature an offense vs. defense scoring system, in which the defense can accumulate points for turnovers or sacks, for example.

The position battle most likely of interest to Nittany Lions backers is likely under center, where O'Brien will let Matt McGloin, Rob Bolden and Paul Jones battle to be the team's starting quarterback in the fall.
