The Pittsburgh Steelers got a gift in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft when Stanford guard David DeCastro fell into their laps at No. 24. They were able to fill arguably their biggest need and get a player who was probably ranked much higher on their board than the selection they ended up taking him at. That is what we in the biz call a win-win.
But they can't celebrate for too long. DeCastro might not even have his playbook before the Steelers are back on the clock again in the second round, and they'll have another pick on Friday night as well.
The next two rounds of the draft, the second and the third, will happen on Friday night. They start an hour earlier on Friday at 7 pm, but the two rounds are expected to last well into the night. You can watch the picks live on ESPN again, or live streaming online on Watch ESPN.
