Flyers Vs. Penguins Score Update: Pittsburgh Leads 4-2 Heading Into Third Period

The matchup between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins doesn't have much on the line as far as playoff implications, but it is a preview of a potential NHL playoff matchup. Through the first two periods of play, the Penguins hold a 4-2 lead over the Flyers at home. Pascal Dupuis struck first for the Penguins, with a goal assisted by Arron Asham and Jordan Staal to give Pittsburgh the early lead. The Flyers quickly answered with a goal by Brayden Schenn to tie it.

In the second period, the Penguins picked up another goal to give Pittsburgh a 2-1 goal, this time by Chris Kunitz. Once again the Flyers quickly answered with a goal by Jaromir Jagr on a powerplay to tie the game. After that though, it was all Pittsburgh as Sidney Crosby picked up a powerplay goal to give the Penguins the lead, followed by an Evgeni Malkin goal to push their lead to 4-2 heading into the third period.
