Pittsburgh Marathon 2012 Preview

The Pittsburgh Marathon will be run this Sunday May 6th. American Jeffrey Eggleston is the defending Champion.

The city of Pittsburgh will be on display this weekend as it hosts the 22nd edition of their Marathon. The race will be run on Sunday May 6. For more information about the Marathon, field and events surrounding the race, please head over to the Marathon's official website.

The defending champion is Jeffrey Eggleston, who won with a time of 2:16:40, just about six minutes off of the course record. It was the fifth time in the last 10 years that an American had won the race, but just the first time in the last five. The female champion was Yihunlish Bekele Deleneh of Ethiopia with a 2:35:36 time. You can find a map of the course, with printing options of course, here.
