Pittsburgh Marathon 2012: Events, Time And Schedule For The Weekend

The 2012 Pittsburgh Marathon is an all-day event with plenty of happenings throughout the morning. Besides the full marathon, there is also a half-marathon and a 5k run. Here is a schedule of the weekend's events.

Saturday, May 5

GNC Live Well Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo
9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

UPMC Sports Medicine/UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh 5K Run
Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

Toyota of Pittsburgh Kids Marathon
Race begins at 10:00 a.m.

Pasta Party
Spaghetti Warehouse, 2601 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Seating Times 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 6

Race Day Breakfast
4:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m.

Start Line VIP Presented by Sheetz
6:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
Heinz Hall, 6th Street and Liberty Avenue

Dick's Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon
7:30 a.m. start for runners and walkers; 7:20 a.m. for wheelchair division

UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon
7:30 a.m. start for runners and walkers
Liberty Avenue between Sixth Street and Seventh Street, Downtown

FedEx Ground Pittsburgh Marathon Relay
7:30 a.m. start
