Pittsburgh Marathon 2012: Weather Forecast, Road Closures And More

The Pittsburgh Marathon takes place on Sunday morning and The Weather Channel predicts a beautiful day in Pittsburgh, with temperatures in the high 50s in the early morning, climbing through the 60s before reaching 71 degrees by noon. There should be sunny skies throughout.

Here (PDF) is a list of road closures for the event. There will be closures throughout downtown, the Strip District, the North Side, West End, the South Side, Oakland, Shadyside, South Point Breeze, Homewood Brushton, East Liberty, Highland Park, Friendship and Bloomfield staggered throughout the morning. Here (PDF, again) is a map of the marathon course, which also provides some driving suggestions.
