Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburgh Pirates ranks ninth among N.L. outfielders in all-star voting
With a month to go in voting for the 2012 All-Star Game in Kansas City, the MLB released their first standings update to reveal the front-runners for the coveted eight starting positions.
Only one Pirate is in contention, as Andrew McCutchen currently ranks ninth in votes among National League outfielders. McCutchen is having a stellar season, where he ranks seventh in the N.L. in batting average (.320), 10th in slugging (.542), and 10th in OPS (.923).
As of May 31, McCutchen has 457,223 votes. Ryan Braun currently holds the third and final starting spot in the outfield with 1,112,971 votes.
