The preliminary information for the 2012 Pittsburgh Basketball Club Summer Pro-Am League has been released. Read on to see when your favorite local college basketball players up close.
The Pittsburgh Basketball Club Summer Pro-Am League is back for 2012, as the organization behind the popular league for local college players released the schedule for this year's season.
Games will be played beginning on June 18, and will continue every Monday and Wednesday through the end of the month. In July, the schedule will feature a slight shake-up due to the 4th of July, with games being played on July 2, 10 and 11. The playoffs will run July 16-18.
All games will be played at the Green Tree Sportsplex in Green Tree, PA. Game times each night are at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. The list of participants for the league have yet to be listed, however that and full schedules for each team are expected to be released sometime this week. Participants in the past include numerous members of the Pittsburgh Panthers, West Virginia Mountaineers, Duquesne Dukes and Robert Morris Colonials.
