2012 U.S. Open: Webb Simpson Wins A Thrilling Come From Behind Victory

Stay connected for news and updates

Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell entered Sunday's final round of the 2012 U.S. Open at The Olympic Club tied for the lead, but both struggled in the fourth round and little known pro Webb Simpson was able to steal the victory and win his first major tournament as a professional golfer.

Simpson shot a 68 on Sunday, bogeying just two holes and making birdies on four, including three consecutive on holes six, seven and eight.

After shooting a 72 on Thursday in the first round and a 73 on Friday in the second round, Simpson seemed to have figured the course out by Saturday as he shot a 68 on the day.

The full tournament leaderboard can be found here.
