The rosters for the 2012 All-Star Game was unveiled on Sunday afternoon and to no ones surprise, Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen was named as a reserve. McCutchen ranks fifth in the National League in hitting with an average of .346 while also ranking in the top-10 in home runs and RBIs. This is McCutchen's second straight year being named to the team.
Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan also made the team for a second consecutive year, as the closer boasts a 2.10 ERA with a record of 3-0 and 20 saves.
In a bit of a surprising move, Pirates pitcher James McDonald was left off of the All-Star Game roster despite ranking sixth in the National League in ERA.
