2012 London Olympics: Local Wrestler Coleman Scott Will Compete For Bronze Medal In 60KG Freestyle Event

Coleman Scott will face the winner of the contest between Germany's Tim Schleicher and Japan's Kenichi Yumoto for the bronze medal. The bronze medal match will take place at 12:45 p.m. EST.

2012 London Olympics: Allison Schmitt Wins Gold In 200m Freestyle

Allison Schmitt, born in Pittsburgh, won her ther first gold medal of the Olympics and her third overall by winning the 200m freestyle finals on Wednesday. After qualifying with a time of 1:56.15, Schmitt set an Olympic record, finishing the race with a time of 1:53.61, defeating the silver medalist, Muffat Camille of France, by 1.97 seconds.

Austrailian Barrat Bronte claimed the bronze with a time of 1:55.81, beating out American Missy Franklin by one-hundredth of a second. Schmitt participates in one more swimming event at these Olympics, the 4x200m Freestyle relay along with Franklin. She has a great opportunity to medal all four events that she participates in at London.

2012 London Olympics: Men's Gymnastics Team Finishes 5th In Finals

The men's gymnastics team came into Monday with the confidence to win gold in this event for the first time since 1984 and for the first time in a non-boycotted Olympics. However, Team USA faltered and finished fifth in the event. China won the gold medal with an overall score of 275.997. Japan took the silver medal with an overall score of 271.952 and Great Britain claimed the bronze medal with a score of 271.711

Team USA finished its final round with a final score of 269.952, finishing behind Ukraine, who took fourth place with 271.526. Team USA's gymnasts are not yet finished -- gymnast Danell Leyva and John Orozco will both be competing in the all-around competition on Wednesday.

US Vs. France Women's Soccer, 2012 Olympics: Team USA Rallies To Beat France, 4-2

The US Women's soccer team struggled out of the gate against France in the first game of their Olympic competition in London, but four consecutive goals later, the US won, beginning their journey to their third straight Olympic gold medal.

After allowing goals in the 12th and 14th minutes by Thiney Gaetane and Delie Marie-Laure, team USA tied the game up before halftime thanks to goals by Abby Wambach (19th) and Alex Morgan (32nd). Carli Lloyd scored the game tying goal in the 52nd minute and Morgan added the dagger in the 66th minute to close the scoring out.

Team USA got more shots on goal than France, holding the advantage six shots to three shots. Other than that the stats were relatively even, with Team USA holding a slight advantage over France in possession, 53%-47%. Team USA's next game will be against Columbia on Saturday starting at 12 p.m. EDT.
