Stay connected for news and updates

Just seven Olympians making the trip to London to represent the United States hail from Pittsburgh, PA. Of the seven athletes, none have the star power that makes their names instantly recognizable to the casual sports fan.

However, with athletes like 21-year old Allison Schmitt at the forefront of their city's representatives, that may change for the region in the near future. Here are the full list of athletes that call Pittsburgh their hometown:

Allison Schmitt - Pittsburgh, PA - Swimming - 400 Free, 200 Free, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay
Lauryn Williams - Rochester, PA - Track & Field - Relay Pool
Trevor Barron - Pittsburgh, PA - Track & Field - 20-K Racewalk
Jake Herbert - Pittsburgh, PA - Wrestling
