Mike Wallace Likely To Return To Steelers

If reports are true, the Pittsburgh Steelers should witness the return of play-making wide receiver Mike Wallace Tuesday. The return of 6'0, 199-pound wide out, who's expected to sign the Steelers' restricted free-agent tender after a month-long holdout from training camp, is news many are excited about.

"It definitely could be (today)," wide receiver Antonio Brown told Mike Bires of the Times Online Monday. "I’m looking forward to seeing him, even though he has to wait three days to practice. Hopefully, we can keep him after practice and run a couple sprints and get him on board and have all hands on deck for this journey we’re about to embark on."

If Wallace does return, it will not be in time for the wide receiver to be eligible to play in the Steelers' final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, as he needs to sit out three days of practice according to stipulations of the NFL's collective bargaining agreement.

But Wallace should be in the lineup for Pittsburgh's season opener Sept. 9 against the Denver Broncos.
