NFL Injury Report: Steelers Only Have Minor Scrapes From Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a 31-19 loss in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos on the road.

Pittsburgh also had some injuries during the game, mostly along their already depleted offensive line. Ramon Foster and Marcus Gilbert both left the contest at different points, leaving the Steelers with only five healthy linemen for a majority of the game.

Foster had an eye issue while Gilbert was felled with a hyper-extended knee. While neither appears to be a very serious issue going forward, Gilbert's needs to be watched considering it's the type of ailment that can linger.

Of course, the team was already without their starting left guard David DeCastro, who is on the shelf with a torn MCL. James Harrison also missed the opener with a knee problem.

Rashard Mendenhall continues to work his way back towards playing after tearing his ACL in the final regular season game of 2011. His status for next Sunday against the New York Jets in unclear at this point.
