Jets Vs. Steelers: Jerricho Cotchery Feels 'Weird' About Matchup Against Old Team

When the Steelers take on the New York Jets on Sunday, former Jet -- and current Steeler -- Jerricho Cotchery isn't sure what he's going to think.

"It’s weird because I don’t know how I’ll feel on Sunday playing against them," said Cotchery, who still resides near the Jets’ training facility near East Rutherford, N.J. "I haven’t seen them on the other side of the field. Right now I just want to make a play for this team.

Cotchery had a nice career with the Jets, topping 800 yards receiving four times in seven years there, but he struggled with injuries in his last year there and only put up 433 yards. The Steelers grabbed him after that and he became a role player in Pittsburgh, playing in the shadows of Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown.

This will be Cotchery's first game against his old team. Another Steelers receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, says that will provide his team with motivation.

"We’re doing this for the win, but we’re also doing it for Jerricho," receiver Emmanuel Sanders said. "We know what kind of situation he had over there and how he would like to beat the team he played on."
