The Pittsburgh Pirates start a series against the New York Mets with a pair of youngsters facing off on the mound.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have only won three of their last ten games, doing all but ending the team's postseason hopes. But with the playoffs still mathematically possible, they'll try to take a series on the road against the lowly New York Mets
Both teams will send young starters to the mound: for Pittsburgh, its 24-year-old starter Kyle McPherson, who made his first start against the Cubs after appearaing as a reliever in his first seven career appearances. The rookie's only decision thus far has been a loss, but his ERA is a paltry 2.25. Facing him is Jenrry Mejia, a 22-year-old who has given up six runs in six innings, including one start, thus far this year.
