The defensive star could play against Syracuse next weekend.

Defensive lineman Aaron Donald missed the Panthers' most recent contest against Gardner-Webb last weekend with a knee issue, but word is that the star could be back on the field soon. According to the Post-Gazette's Sam Werner, Donald was back in action during practices this week and could be back in time for Pitt's next game:

Aaron Donald has returned to practice this week after missing out last week to deal with a knee issue. As Chryst said at the time, all indications point to him being back and ready to go for Syracuse next weekend.

Getting Donald back would be big for Pitt who has struggled to get a ton of pressure on opposing quarterbacks this season. With no sacks to date and only eight tackles on the season, he isn't having a big year statistically. But part of that has been due to constant double-teams and having him on the field means other linemen will be freed up a bit.
