Steelers Vs. Broncos: Keenan Lewis Wins Starting Job

Pittsburgh Steelers corner back Keenan Lewis has earned a spot in the team's season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

After starting all four preseason games opposite Ike Taylor, Lewis managed to play well enough to beat out Cortez Allen for the starter's role. Although it's safe to say Lewis will be starting, head coach Mike Tomlin isn't willing to address his players as such.

Via Steelers' Depot:

He's earned a spot," said Tomlin. "I don't anoint people in terms of jobs or positions, I'll let you guys do that. I think he's done a nice job here in this preseason at working and playing good sound technical football and that needs to continue."

Lewis was selected with the No. 96 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played in all 16 games last season but only started in one.
