Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison practiced on Monday for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Aug. 15. Harrison made it through practice without any issues and gave indications that all was well on Tuesday morning, as he was seen without any brace or bandage on the knee.

Harrison still has to be cleared by medical staff in order to be allowed to play, but if he continues to practice without issue there is a good chance he could suit up for the Steelers' opener against the Denver Broncos on Sunday in Denver.

Coach Mike Tomlin was fairly straightforward with the issue.

"The issue is just whether or not he gets a clean bill of health from our medical staff. He has to this point in terms of being able to practice. We'll see how his body responds to that work and let that be a determinant about how we move forward."
