Ole Miss leads Pitt at halftime of the 2013 BBVA Compass Bowl, 24-10.

Ole Miss currently leads the Pittsburgh Panthers at halftime in the 2013 BBVA Compass Bowl, 24-10.

The Rebels jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, after Bo Wallace threw a pair of touchdown passes. Wallace hooked up with Ja-Mes Logan for a 14-yard touchdown giving Ole Miss a 7-0 lead, before completing a 27-yard touchdown pass to Randall Mackey.

Pitt responded in the second quarter. Tino Sunseri found Devin Street for a 10-yard touchdown, cutting Ole Miss' lead in half.

Ole Miss responded on the ensuing drive. Wallace led the Rebels on a five-play, 48-yard drive that culminated with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Vince Sanders, giving Ole Miss a comfortable two-touchdown lead -- again.

Pitt and Ole Miss traded field goals to end the first half.

Though Wallace has thrown three touchdown passes, he's also been intercepted by Pitt's defense twice. Both teams committed two turnovers in the first half.
