Big Ten Scores: Michigan State Clinches Division, Michigan Beats Nebraska

Stay connected for news and updates

As Penn State takes on Ohio State, here’s a look at other results from around the Big Ten.

As Adam Bittner mentioned earlier, Wisconsin beat Illinois 28-17, which renders the Penn State vs. Ohio State game meaningless with regard to Penn State’s Leaders Division title hopes. The winner of the Nittany Lions’ game against Wisconsin next week will win the title, regardless of the outcome between PSU and OSU.

In other Big Ten action, Michigan State clinched the Legends Division by thrashing the hapless Indiana Hoosiers, 55-3, as B.J. Cunningham got 132 yards receiving, along with two touchdowns. 9-2 Michigan whipped Nebraska, 45-17, with Fitzgerald Toussaint picking up 138 yards on the ground. Iowa beat Purdue, 31-21, thanks to 273 yards and three touchdowns from quarterback James Vandenberg and big performances from Marcus Coker and Marvin McNutt. And Northwestern knocked off 2-9 Minnesota, 28-13.
