Penn State vs. Mount St. Mary's: Nittany Lions Run Away In Second Half

After taking just a three-point lead into the half, Penn State ran away from Mount St. Mary's after intermission to earn a 72-43 victory and snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions were hot shooting in the second half, finishing at 50.9 percent from the field. Five Penn State players finished with double figures in scoring. Tim Frazier led the way with 15 points, eight assists and two rebounds while Cammeron Woodyard (14 points), Billy Oliver (13 points), Jermaine Marshall (10 points) and Sasa Borovnjak (10 points) filed in behind him.

The Lions were also efficient on the defensive end, forcing 18 Mountaineers turnovers and earning 33-25 advantage on the glass. Matt Glover, who grabbed six boards, was the big rebounder for Penn State. Borovnjak and Ross Travis contributed five each.

After the game, Woodyard was happy to be back in the win column, but hopes that his team can keep the momentum going.

"We're pretty satisfied," Woodyard told the Big Ten Network after the game. "We can always do more, though."

Chad Holley and Raven Barber led Mount St. Mary's in scoring with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Penn State, now 7-5 on the season, will finish out its non-conference schedule at home against Cornell on Wednesday before taking more than a week off to prepare for the conference opener against Michigan on Dec. 29.
