Penn State vs. Cornell: Nittany Lions Locked In Tight Game At The Half

Stay connected for news and updates

After trailing Cornell for much of the first half on Wednesday night at the Bryce Jordan Center, Penn State rallied late to take a 31-30 deficit into the locker room, despite sloppy play on offense.

Jermaine Marshall leads the Nittany Lions with eight points and four rebounds. Teammate Tim Frazier is close behind with seven points and four rebounds.Their scoring represents the lone offensive highlights for Penn State, though.

As a team, the Lions have committed already 10 turnovers and shot just 31 percent from the field, including 3-10 from 3-point territory.

Fortunately for coach Patrick Chambers' team, it's dominating the boards early as expected, earning a 24-17 advantage against the Big Red in the first half.

Shonn Miller is having a big night for the Big Red, already with eight points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Galal Cancer follows behind him with seven points, four assists and two rebounds. Cornell was 5-15 from the perimeter in the first half.

Stay tune to SB Nation Pittsburgh for a recap of this game later tonight.
