Many western Pennsylvanians will already have their calendars marked for April 16, as that marks the beginning of trout season in Pennsylvania (at least for every other county besides the special 16 southeastern counties that, for some reason, get to start early).↵
But now, there is another reason, as the annual Spring Game for the Penn State football squad will be held that day. With many questions looming, including quarterback, offensive line, and secondary questions, fans will surely turn out in droves for this event.
However, the event, which has turned into a weekend-long celebration of all things Penn State football, attracts fans for many different reasons. Fathers get to show their sons the turf at Beaver Stadium, young fans get a chance to meet the players, and fans of all ages get their first chance to tailgate in Happy Valley for a football game.↵
