NCAA Women's Tournament: Scores And Recap For Final Four, National Championship Game Time

The two No. 2 seeds remaining in the Final Four of the NCAA Women's Tournament stunned the two No. 1 seeds, as Notre Dame beat Connecticut and Texas A&M defeated Stanford.

The upset of UConn by Notre Dame was obviously the big shocker. Skylar Diggins sliced and diced the Huskies' defense for 28 points. UConn's Maya Moore added 36 of her own, including 16 straight points in the second half as she mounted an amazing comeback bid. With two minutes left she had the Huskies within three points. Then, though, Natalie Novosel hit a jumper and Diggins hit a layup to help seal the game for Notre Dame, which won 72-63.

The loss was only the second of the year by UConn, and the Huskies had won two straight national championships.

Texas A&M, which had already beat No. 1 seed Baylor, beat another one Sunday, edging Stanford 63-62. Tyra White had 18 for the Aggies, while Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 31 for Stanford. The game was won on a layup by White with three seconds remaining.

The championship game will be played at 8:30 PM Eastern on Tuesday on ESPN.
