Penn State Vs. Temple: Injury To Chima Okoli Appears Minor

Stay connected for news and updates

Penn State got a scare on Saturday when offensive tackle Chima Okoli injured his leg against Alabama and was forced to leave the game early. Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, indications are he should be healthy and ready to go on Saturday when Penn State travels to take on Temple at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Joe Paterno told the media in his weekly press conference on Tuesday at Beaver Stadium that he and the staff have yet to evaluate who will be in and who will be out against the Owls, but fellow lineman Quinn Barham indicated in his portion of the press conference that Okoli seems OK.

"I think it was a mind sprain, maybe, if anything" Barham said. "But he's fine. He was practicing yesterday, so he'll be OK."

Okoli has been a starter on the line since last season when he replaced the injured Dennis Landolt, who tore an ACL against Temple.
