Penn State Coaching Search: Tom Bradley Remains On Staff, According To Reports

On Friday night, following Penn State acting athletic director David Joyner's meeting with current members of the football coaching staff, ESPN reported that interim head coach Tom Bradley had been let go by the university.

Reached for comment by Bob Flounders of the Harrisburg Patriot-News and Cory Giger of the Altoona Mirror, however, Bradley denied that report, telling Flounders he has simply been stripped of his interim head coaching tag.

Giger quotes Bradley in a pair of tweets.

"Yeah I'm on the staff. No one got terminated. ... They told me I'm not going to be the next head coach. That's what they told me," Bradley said. "I don't know him at all. I've never met him. I'm excited to meet him, and I wish him good luck."

"O'Brien" refers to New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien, who is on the ground in State College and reportedly will take over as full-time head coach, replacing Joe Paterno. Bradley's long-term status remains unclear.
