The Penn State Nittany Lions have been matched up with the Boston College Eagles in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge for the second consecutive year. What happened the last time these two teams met in the Challenge?
The ACC/Big 10 Challenge pairings were announced by ESPN on Monday. The Penn St. Nittany Lions, 5-6 all-time in the Challenge, will face the Boston College Eagles on November 28 at home. This will be the second straight season that the Nittany Lions will play the Eagles, 5-1 in the Challenge.
In 2011, Jermaine Marshall and Tim Frazier scored 22 points each to lead the Nittany Lions to a 62-54 victory on November 30. The loss was Boston College's first overall loss in the Challenge in the six years they have participated in it.
Penn State is 2-3 at home in the Challenge. The last game they hosted in the Challege was in 2010 when they lost 62-39 to the Maryland Terrapins. But in their last five games in the Challenge, that has been their only loss. They have recorded victories against Virginia Tech, Virginia and Georgia Tech as well as Boston College in that span.
