Both Penn State and Navy will be looking for their first win of the season as they face off on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions are favored by a touchdown.
Penn State haven't gotten off to the start that they wanted this season, having dropped their first two games to Ohio and Virginia. They'll be looking to pick up their first win of the season as they host Navy on Saturday afternoon.
Penn State will need to improve on the ground if they want to pick up their first win, though, as they've managed only 213 yards thus far this season while managing a meager 3.3-yards per carry. Matt McGloin has had to pick up the slack with the passing game; he's averaging over 40-pass attempts per game.
Navy opened the season with their typical rush-heavy offense. In their opener, Navy ran the ball 40-times compared to only 20-pass attempts. They lost that contest to Notre Dame by a 50-10 scoreline. Both Shawn Lynch and Casey Bolena are averaging over 20-yards per carry for Navy, so limiting the big plays from that pair will be a key for the Nittany Lions defense.
Game time, TV channel: This game is scheduled to kick off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET, and will be aired on both ABC and ESPN2. The coverage map can be found here so you'll know which network will be carrying the game in your area. WatchESPN will also have the game for those of you with access.
Point spread: Penn State are favored in this one by a touchdown, with the over/under being set at 46-points.
