New Pitt football coach Todd Graham met with the media in Pittsburgh today, and Paul Zeise of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the new head man says quarterback Pat Bostick will not use his fifth year of eligibility next season, and has chosen to focus on school instead.
Bostick came to Pitt with high acclaim. Scout.com ranked him a five-star recruit and the nation's No. 6 quarterback prospect in the class of 2007.
He threw for 1,500 yards in 2007 while filling in for the injured Bill Stull. He also led the Panthers to their 13-9 upset of No. 2 West Virginia in Morgantown that season. He lost the starting job to Stull in 2008, then red-shirted in 2009. In 2010, Tino Sunseri took the reins at quarterback and Bostick attempted only 11 passes.
Graham also told the press sophomore Kolby Gray will move to quarterback moving there from the safety position.
