Pitt, West Virginia Fill ESPN's List Of Top Big East Football Players

ESPN's Andrea Adelson is currently finishing a list of the top 25 players in the Big East. She hasn't published her No. 1 yet, but it's going to be WVU quarterback Geno Smith. Unsurprisingly, since the two local teams are the best ones in the conference, the list is loaded with players from Pitt and West Virginia.

Pitt DE/OLB Brandon Lindsey is No. 2. West Virginia is also represented by Bruce Irvin at No. 5, Tavon Austin at No. 6, Keith Tandy at No. 9, and Julian Miller at No. 17. The list of Pitt players also includes Ray Graham at No. 8, Jarred Holley at No. 19 and Tino Sunseri at No. 23.

SB Nation's Pitt blog, Cardiac Hill, writes about the choice of Lindsey at No. 2 here, and points out that Pitt's strong defensive line will likely create a bunch of opportunities for Lindsey that didn't exist for Jabaal Sheard last year.
