Pitt Vs. Providence Score: Panthers Cruising At Halftime ... No, Seriously

Stay connected for news and updates

Hold onto your hats – Pitt is not only winning, but doing so comfortably against Providence, up 46-31 at the half.

The Panthers’ dormant offense is finally showing signs of life and it’s Ashton Gibbs who’s leading the way. Gibbs has 16 points and is 4-7 from three-point range. Pitt is also getting good production from starters Nasir Robinson, Lamar Patterson, and Talib Zanna as they combined for 20 points.

Tray Woodall, playing in his second game back from injury is also playing better. Woodall has six points with two three-pointers and also has four assists to only one turnover. In addition, the Panthers held a 19-15 edge on the glass in the first half and committed only four turnovers.

The Panthers, however, need to focus on stopping Vincent Council, who had 16 to match Ashton Gibbs in the first half.
