Pitt could improve to 4-0 at home Tuesday when Howard visits the Petersen Events Center.

The Pittsburgh Panthers host the Howard Bisons Tuesday in a non-conference men's college basketball game at the Petersen Events Center (7 p.m. ET on Pitt Panthers Television). The Panthers (5-1) are looking to improve to 4-0 at home this season, while the Bisons (1-5) are looking for their second straight win.

Pitt is coming off an appearance in the NIT Tip-Off Tournament, which featured the Panthers losing to the No. 3-ranked Michigan Wolverines, 67-62, but defeating the Delaware Blue Hens, 85-59.

The win over the Blue Hens helped Pitt increase its average margin of victory to 20.5 points.

Currently, Pitt is paced by Talib Zanna's 13.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Senior guard Tray Woodall is second on the team with 12.3 ppg.

Meanwhile, Howard recently snapped a five-game losing streak with a 66-50 victory over Wilmington (Del.), a Division II program. The Bisons were paced by Mike Phillips' game-high 19 points, while teammate Calvin Thompson added 16.

On Saturday, the Panthers host the Detroit Titans (7 p.m. on ESPN3).
