Princeton Vs. Pitt Score: Panthers Breezing Through Second Round Of CBI

Stay connected for news and updates

At halftime in the second round of the CBI, Pitt is destroying Princeton, 49-25.

Pitt had no problem with Wofford in the first round, and it looks like the Panthers will continue to breeze through Round 2. Lamar Patterson leads Pitt with 15 points, while Tray Woodall has 12 points and six assists.

Pitt jumped out to a 10-2 lead after Nasir Robinson began the game with two buckets and Ashton Gibbs and Woodall both hit threes. The Panthers let Princeton back into the game a bit after that, culminating when Mack Darrow hit two threes (with a Gibbs three sandwiched in there) to cut the lead to 22-19. After that, though, it was all Panthers, as Pitt hit one three-pointer after another, and ended the half on a 14-0 run.

Pitt is currently 8-of-14 from behind the three-point line. Princeton is 7-of-14. But the Panthers have been far more successful shooting from closer range, hitting 56 percent of their shots overall while Princeton is at 38 percent.
